Clancy McKenna told the story of the strike in an autobiographical account that was penned by an anthropologist Kingsley Palmer on the basis of oral history interviews he conducted with McKenna. In this account one cannot be sure whose voice we are actually hearing, but it nonetheless reveals important aspects of the strike such as the fears the strikers had about going on strike.
