Common to these commemorations is a story that Clancy McKenna rode a bicycle to deliver the calendars to all the stations prior to May Day 1946. This representation can be seen in a brochure that the Wangka Maya Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre prepared for the 60th anniversary of the strike.
